Full Moon Wo Sagashite and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne (both written and drawn by Arina Tanemura). Tokyo Mew Mew (along with Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne) are similar to Sailor Moon. Pita Ten. Hamtaro, it is for little kids but really cute.
I didn’t watch this anime yet but it is really popular. Detective Conan.
I can’t think of any more at the moment. Sorry.
Good luck and have fun!

Personal picks of shounen/seinen anime except for the last (shoujo):
Mushishi (26 episodes in 2005) -
"They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as the micro-organisms and the fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as "Mushi". Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a "Mushi-shi" who travels around to investigate and find out more about the "Mushi". In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurances which may be related to the "Mushi"."
Mononoke (NOT Mononoke-hime, 12 episodes in 2007) -
""Mononoke" continues the story of the medicine seller from the "Bakeneko" arc of "Ayakashi," as he continues to face various dangerous spirits."
